Fifty Shades!

I am not sure if I am the only person who has not read or seen fifty Shades of Gray. That being said I think it is a great description for an under utilized color for both a wedding & a reception. At the beach colors are usually very tropical think pinks, blues , greens and corals. Gray is not one we see alot of and maybe is a color that is not thought of as a primary wedding color.

Gray, like black, is a neutral color that plays well in the sandbox. Working with Lighthouse Sound I attempted to create a sophisticated and sexy reception based on "fifty shades of gray" theme. Working with a beautiful couple (wedding gown from Bustle in Berlin, MD), a creative florist (little Miss Lovely), Coastal Tented events for beautiful linen, and awesome make up artist (Andrea Bounds), as well as a artistic photographer (Kelsey McCarthy) I think we pulled off the vibe.I hope this will give you the go ahead to think outside the box when planning your reception. Remember if you are working with a creative team anything is possible!
