"She Let Go" is a beautiful poem by Rev. Safire Rose it describes a girl who lets go and found that it is what it is and always will be . It struck a cord with me because that's what I want my brides to do- to just let go.
I want her to choose what she wants the ceremony to look like, choose the reception decor, order the flowers and the cake and then let it go. Don't listen to all the advisors and their opinions. A wedding is about the bride & the groom and what they want, who they are and what is important to them. It should look like both of them, and feel like whatever it is they both want out of their day. Sometimes when planning a wedding people get so caught up in the minutia they actually lose sight of the real reason for the celebration. The celebration is about the love two individuals have for each other, the people who helped to shape them and the celebration of their commitment to each other. The rest is icing on the cake!
Work with someone who can help you let it all go. Trust that once your choices are made it will all fall into place. People usually remember a few things about your wedding: what a good time they had, did they dance, was there a special view or location and how happy you both are. Don't stress the small stuff enjoy the experience you will never have a first wedding again! Make it all about what is important to you and yours.
"There was no effort. There was no struggle. It wasn't good and it wasn't bad. It was what it was, and it is just that."
"In the space of letting go, she let it all be. a small smile came over her face . A light breeze blew through her. And the sun and the moon shone forevermore" Rev Safire Rose
