Justin and Katherine say "I Do"

This beautiful wedding started out with a tea ceremony in one of the suites of the Dunes Manor Hotel. The couple poured and served tea to members of both of their families and family members dressed them in gifts of jewelry. The bride changed out of her red tea ceremony dress for a beautiful white traditional gown that she walked down the aisle in while a string quartet played. The memoriam table of all of their family and friends added such a special touch to the reception decor, they are forever in our hearts. It was a pleasure to work with this beautiful couple! Congratulations Justin & Katherine, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Wedding etiquette with invitations

Who gets an Invite?

Your wedding list should include the people most important to you as well as the family members who are also on that list. Anyone with a plus one can get the invite with that as the designation-plus one. Typically invites are sent out six to eight weeks prior to the wedding . If you are having a destination wedding that includes travel and lodging invitations can be sent earlier so people can plan their travel. A good rule of thumb is four to six months in advance. Your invitation will set the tone for the wedding. People will read into it the look, feel and even the attire for the wedding. Many couples are choosing to “brand” their wedding with an entire suite of save the dates, invitations, thank you notes, flowers, color scheme

The actual main wedding invitation

  • Reception Card – optional

  • Hotel booking information – optional

  • Wedding website card – optional

Make sure the RSVP is clearly visible so guests will know when they have to respond. Most venues have a 30 day rule for their head count and might leave a little room for for adjustments as close as 2 weeks out.

Destination weddings should also have as much information as possible for the guests. Flight information, best Airport, shuttle or taxi service things to do, currency exchange information if you are in a foreign country. A timeline of events is also a good idea for the guests and can be included in their welcome bag.

Devon and Ivylo say "I Do" at Sunset Park

What a beautiful morning at the shore! Simple yet amazing. We always give 100% for everything we do! These two kept us laughing through portraits after a spontaneous dance to Old Town Road broke out at the site of the Ceremony. Congratulations Devon & Ivylo, thank you for sharing your special day with us.

Ryan and Michelle say "I Do" at Dunes Manor Hotel in Ocean City, MD

Dana Marie captured an incredible evening at the Dunes Manor Hotel after a glamorous afternoon beach wedding in September.  Dana had the them started off with a first look in the dunes behind the motel. Michelle came up behind Ryan in a stunning gown and beautiful long flowing locks that reminded me of a vintage glam styled bride.  There were some fun bridal party portraits behind the hotel and around the surroundings before their beautiful ceremony on the beach.  Alison, with Alison to the Altar, delivered a beautiful wedding message for the couple and their friends and family.  After the ceremony the party went back up to the hotel and partied until late into the night. Guests enjoyed dancing and drinks under the ballroom lights and a cake by the talented Baked Desserts out of Berlin, MD.   Congratulations Michelle & Ryan, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Melanie & Arthur are married at the Clarion in Ocean City, MD

An incredible evening at the Clarion in Ocean City, MD.   The couple was married on the beach amidst friends and family.  The bride's mom and sister did the flowers for the grand affair and Alison with Alison to the Altar helped bring the bride's vision to life with beautiful hues of blush and Burgundy incorporating some of the most beautiful flower arrangements I have seen yet.  Melanie had a vision of what she wanted and working closely with Alison it w as exacted to perfection. The couple enjoyed a few intimate minutes back on the beach just past sunset before rejoining the party and celebrating with their first dance and family dance incorporating their children.  Congratulations Arthur & Melanie, we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
