Go tall or stay small with your centerpieces?
Go Tall or Stay Small
Imagine walking into the ballroom of your reception and seeing those tall, beautiful centerpieces. What a statement this makes to you and your guests. Depending on what flowers you choose you can create a mood for the event. You might also want to keep in mind what vessel you choose to display these tall beauties. A container that is solid will block the view of those seated across the table. So think strategically.
By combining tall and short centerpieces you will add interest to the ballroom and your pictures will be beautiful. Tall centerpieces will add formality to your reception space and draw the eye up, if you are going for a more casual look keep that in mind. Something to keep in mind is depending on the vessel you choose you may want to add something lower to keep the effect going when guests are seated. This will increase your flower budget but will give you an opulent look.
If you have flowers at the ceremony you can also repurpose them after in the reception. This is a trick we use all the time. I am a strong believer in repurposing the bridal bouquets on areas such as the cake table, the gift table, the bar and the bridal bouquet on the sweetheart table.
If you are considering whether or not to use fresh of artificial flowers you might be surprised at how affordable the real deal can be. Talk to your florist and see what they can come up with.
