With the release of the vaccine we have a renewed hope for weddings and events moving forward for couples looking to have a 2021 wedding here is some advice for getting those desired vendors and not losing your shirt in the process

 A retainer is used to save your date- with out a reatainer there is no guarantee of your date being available later on. Once a retainer is taken other clients are turned away - it shows good faith on your part to move forward. Holding off from booking your key vendors might cause you problems later on. If you have your heart set on a particular vendor or venue it is best to reserve them as soo as possible.

 Our best advice is to set up vendor meetings ask how they are working with the pandemic and what safety steps have they taken and their plans to move forward, this will allows you to decide weather or not you want to work with them.

Review contracts and  so you know what to expect if cancellations or postponments occur. Ask about payment plans. And lastly go with your gut. Last year was a lesson for everyone in the industry on how to pivot. With proper planning and doing your due diligence you can have the wedding you have dreamed of since you were a little girl.
